Pipe Laborer

The H&K Group is seeking a Pipe Laborer to support heavy civil construction projects across the Mid-Atlantic region. In this role you will assist with installation of storm, sanitary, and water piping, trench excavation, back filling, grading, and site cleanup. You will work closely with equipment operators and pipe layers to ensure accurate layout, alignment, and compaction while following strict safety procedures.

The position involves physical outdoor work in varying weather, use of hand and power tools, and adherence to OSHA and company standards. H&K offers long-term career growth, skills training, and advancement opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation of storm, sanitary, and water pipe systems
• Excavate, shore, and backfill trenches safely
• Measure, align, and grade pipe according to plans and slope requirements
• Handle and stage pipe, fittings, and materials
• Operate and use hand and power tools for pipe work and site tasks
• Support equipment operators and pipe layers during installation
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
• Follow all OSHA and company safety policies and procedures
• Perform basic spotting and signaling for equipment as needed
• Assist with general site cleanup and related labor tasks
