CDL Driver - Hummelstown, PA

The Harrisburg Division of the H&K Group, Inc. is seeking experienced and motivated Class A and B CDL drivers. This position emphasizes reliability, attentiveness, and daily responsibilities such as maintaining truck logs and vehicle condition.

• Perform all work adhering to MSHA and H&K Safety policies
• Drive truck to destination
• Prepare receipts for load pick up
• Maintain truck log according to state and federal regulations and company policy
• Maintain telephone or radio contact with supervisor for delivery instructions
• Load and unload truck
• Inspect truck equipment and supplies (tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, water)
• Perform daily pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle checks
• Tarps all loads when public roadway travel is necessary
• Trim all loads prior to tarping when necessary
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills, Education, and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Class A CDL with 1 year commercial driving experience OR Class B CDL with 1 year triaxle driving experience
• Clean driving record
• Customer service and teamwork
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to fit test and use appropriate PPE as needed
• Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)

Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience

• 3 years of commercial driving experience
• Strong preference for 3 years of triaxle driving experience
• TWIC card preferred with CDL Class A
• Hazmat and tanker endorsement
• Experience working in heavy civil construction, road construction, or quarries
• MSHA, OSHA or other relevant safety certifications

• Frequently required to sit
• Use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms
• Frequently required to talk or hear
• Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

• Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions
• Frequently exposed to vibration
• Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts
• Noise level is usually loud
