RESPONSIBILITIES
- Apply a foundational understanding of the stage-gate product development process to support new product initiatives.
- Assist in evaluating new product costs, capital expenditures, and competitive benchmarking analyses.
- Maintain working knowledge of existing and emerging industry technologies.
- Participate in ideation sessions using structured problem-solving and innovation techniques.
- Support intellectual property awareness by recognizing the importance of patents and proprietary technologies in product development.
- Utilize Six Sigma methodologies, including statistical analysis, standard deviation interpretation, and process capability (Cpk) evaluation.
- Operate and interpret data from basic metrology equipment to support quality and validation activities.
- Lead and/or support DFMEA and PFMEA activities; assess and differentiate program, safety, regulatory, business, and customer satisfaction risks.
- Lead or contribute to root cause analysis, Lean initiatives, and Kaizen events to drive continuous improvement.
- Assist in developing and documenting technical specifications for new product development and implementation.
- Develop validation test methods based on identified DFMEA risks.
- Define and deliver non-technical project outputs required for successful product launches.
- Utilize design tools to create components and basic assemblies.
- Support Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and Engineering Change Notices (ECN) processes.
- Maintain foundational knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes used in product production.
- Apply understanding of key manufacturing tools and methodologies to support process development.
- Assist in supplier evaluation and selection activities.
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of materials used in products and the methods for material identification.
- Ensure product designs meet both functional and aesthetic requirements.

REQUIRED SKILLS- 2-5 years in related field required
- Strong knowledge of problem solving techniques and methodologies
- Hands on prototyping/design validation model building knowledge
- Strong Static/Dynamic analytical skills
- Demonstrates CAD modeling experience (Creo preferred)
- Demonstrates knowledge of applicable manufacturing processes
- Strong interpersonal and project management skills
- Excellent communication skills-verbal and written
- Ability to perform in a team environment
- PREFERRED
SKILLS:
Experience in an enterprise environment.
