Industrial Engineer – Global Distribution Operations

Join American Tire Distributors (ATD), a premier tire distributor with a coast‑to‑coast network covering 80,000 customers in the U.S. and Canada. The Industrial Engineer is a key role that collaborates with leadership and cross‑functional teams to design and implement lean operating procedures, improve supply‑chain performance, and enhance productivity across the network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze current operations and develop standardized labor standards for all sites.
  • Audit and update standard operating procedures to align with best practices.
  • Collaborate with the Continuous Improvement team to implement improvements across the network.
  • Conduct time and motion studies and analyze cost/benefit implications of proposed process improvements.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and continuously update engineered labor standards.
  • Lead the development and delivery of training to support rollout and continuous optimization of these standards.
  • Perform root cause analysis of performance and process variations across sites.
  • Provide analytical support to supply‑chain leadership during annual planning and budgeting processes.
  • Support Labor Incentive Programs by analyzing data to calibrate KPIs and pay‑for‑performance targets.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience (preferred).
  • Strong analytical, data‑collection, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience with lean tools, time‑motion studies, and labor‑standard development.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to deliver training.
  • Proficiency with analysis software (e.g., Tableau, MS Excel).

Physical Demands & Work Environment
