The Service Now Automation Platform Engineer will design, develop, and maintain automation solutions on the Service Now platform to support Truist's technology and business operations. This on-site role is based in Huntersville, NC and involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, configure workflows, integrate systems, and optimize platform performance. The engineer will create and manage Service Now modules, scripts, and APIs, ensure adherence to governance and security standards, and support incident, problem, and change management processes.
Daily responsibilities include troubleshooting platform issues, performing upgrades, documenting technical solutions, and providing guidance to stakeholders on best practices for automation and digital workflows.
- Service Now platform expertise, including configuration, scripting, and workflow design skills
- Automation and integration skills with APIs, web services, and related tooling
- Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), or similar enterprise service frameworks
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills
- Ability to work on-site in Huntersville, NC and collaborate effectively with technical and business teams
- Solid understanding of security, access controls, and compliance in enterprise environments
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent work experience
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Service Now System Administrator, Implementation Specialist) are beneficial
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to document technical solutions clearly
