Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, general ledger accountability and financial reporting, as well as other special projects as assigned. Assist in preparing accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures. This position will report to the Financial Accounting Manager.

• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for period end close
• Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures; maintain necessary working papers related to journal entries and reconciliations
• Correspond with various departments to compile financial data for monthly reporting as needed to ensure accurate and timely period end reporting
• Assist in the preparation and distribution of financial statements
• Research and respond to all general ledger questions/inquiries
• Assist in providing follow up and documentation of significant variances
• Assist with quarterly and annual financial audits as needed
• Assist with the annual corporate budgeting process
• Contribute to department and/or company special projects as assigned
• Coach and train staff as necessary

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or similar field is a must
• 3+ years progressively responsible experience in accounting
• Thorough understanding of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Lease accounting (ASC 842) experience a plus
• Strong analytical and accounting skills
• Multi‑unit experience strongly preferred
• Strong verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills
• Extremely attentive to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and/or with a team and take on new tasks with high level of difficulty
• Ability to work with minimal up‑front guidance and take ownership of his/her work.
• Ability to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
• Ability to proactively resolve or elevate issues across functions and follow up as necessary
• Strong problem solving and organizational skills
• Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook or similar programs
• Workday Financials experience a plus
