ocean view school district is looking to hire a middle school english (7th grade and 8th grade english and social science) teacher for the 2026/2027 school year. The district covers all costs for the orange county department of education's teacher induction program for our teachers holding a preliminary credential. The cost varies between $3,600.00-$3,900.00 per program year.

** basic functions: organizes and instructs students in reading and/or language arts and other assigned areas of the curriculum, utilizing the course of study adopted by the board of trustees. Promotes close working relationships with staff, students and parents. Teacher is under the direct supervision of the site principal or designee.

education & experience: education required:
• bachelor's degree
• valid california single subject teaching credential in english or authorization in english and social science
• el authorization or equivalent
• gate certificate preferred. May enroll in gate certification program while employed.

Experience:

• one year of successful teaching experience in an education setting is preferred.
• 5 years previous public school teaching experience accepted per ocean view teachers association (ovta) contract note: the posting may close once 20 applications have been received.
