Located in the coastal community of Huntington Beach, Golden West College is regarded as one of the most beautiful campuses in Southern California. Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates, and promotes a unit within an academic or student services division or multifaceted academic/student services support function or a single academic or student services program.
Distinguishing Career FeaturesThe Associate Dean represents an expanded first level administrator position directing academic programs and/or services reporting to a Dean or Vice President. The Associate Dean may preside over a single program (e.g., Nursing), career and technical education programs, or academic and student services of a non-degree nature. The Associate Dean may also preside over multiple student services programs, providing strategic programmatic intersectionality.
The Associate Dean title may also be used as part of a career growth and succession plan to become a Dean.
