What You’ll Do

At BJ’s Restaurants, strong financial leadership fuels smart growth. We’re seeking a strategic Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis and Corporate Strategy to lead high-impact financial and strategic analytics that shape pricing, testing, and performance decisions across the business.

This role sits at the intersection of performance, growth, and operational decision-making. You will drive menu mix analysis, pricing and costing strategy, test-and-learn modeling, and cross-functional business insights that directly influence revenue, margin, and guest experience.

How You’ll Contribute

Enterprise Financial Planning & Performance

• Support forecasting and performance insights while leading high-impact analytical initiatives tied to revenue, margin, and product performance.
• Analyze financial performance against forecasts and deliver clear, actionable insights to senior leadership.
• Own recurring performance analytics including menu mix, check composition, KPI dashboards, and variance analyses that guide enterprise decisions.
• Partner with functional and operational leaders to optimize revenue drivers, cost efficiency, and margin performance.
• Translate complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable recommendations and executive‑ready materials for senior leadership.
• Continuously enhance FP&A models, systems, and reporting automation to improve scalability and decision support.

Corporate Strategy & Business Insights

• Lead menu mix and check composition analysis to diagnose performance shifts and inform recommendations.
• Partner on menu testing and innovation including upfront costing/pricing, modeling, and post‑test performance readouts.
• Evaluate vendor and operational initiatives (e.g., pour accuracy tools, supply changes) by defining success metrics, sizing financial impact, and supporting test design.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Marketing, Culinary, Supply Chain, Operations, and Off‑Premise/Loyalty partners to deliver decision‑ready insights.
• Develop Executive and Board‑ready materials that clearly communicate findings, implications, and recommended actions.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or related strategic finance roles; public company experience strongly preferred.
• Proven experience supporting executive leadership and influencing cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Lead and develop direct report(s), providing clear direction, structured workflows, and consistent performance oversight to ensure high‑quality, business‑impacting analysis.
• Advanced financial modeling expertise with strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with ERP and planning systems (Anaplan, Hyperion, SAP, Oracle, etc.).
• Familiarity with BI and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) preferred.
• Exceptional analytical rigor paired with strong business acumen.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial insights clearly to senior leaders.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic, high‑growth environment.
• CPA, CFA, or MBA a plus.

$125,000 to $140,000 plus bonus eligibility and comprehensive benefits.

This range reflects the anticipated compensation for this role. Final salary will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, relevant experience, and other job‑related qualifications.
