JOB SUMMARY

Prepares layouts and detailed 2D drawings for components, sub-assemblies, and assemblies for aircraft interior furnishings from CATIA models, engineering specifications, verbal instructions, or sketches. Should possess the motivation to complete projects on time and represent the company's core values.

SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES

* Performs some combination of the following:

* Prepare detailed drawing packages of components, sub-assemblies, and assemblies for aircraft interior furnishings including notes and bills of material. CATIA is primarily used for 2D drafting; occasionally AutoCAD may be used.

* Able to follow the company's drafting standards

* Verify quantities, materials, dimensions, and drawing notes

* Revise drawings as required, including preparation of the associated Engineering Change Notice (ECN)

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS - Education, Knowledge, and Experience

Education:

* A High School Diploma is desired.

* A two-year college (associate degree) or Trade/Technical School is desired.

Experience:

* Position may be filled with both entry level and experienced candidates

Skills:

* Ability to successfully handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

* Experience in understanding a variety of manufacturing processes including composites forming, CNC machining, stampings, sheet metal forming, and thermoforming.

* Knowledge of related software including CATIA, AUTOCAD,and Wind Chill PLM.

* Direction with necessary guidance is provided in terms of tasks and objectives and measured based upon how well objectives have been met, generally the time to create an acceptable 2D drawing for typical parts. Receives detailed instructions as needed.

* Uses judgment for how to dimension a drawing based on the critical features and an understanding of tolerance stack-up.
