Precision CNC Machinist and Grinding Specialist About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Precision Machinist and Grinding Specialist to join our team. You will leverage your extensive expertise in CNC and manual machining to produce high-tolerance components, ensuring that every part meets the rigorous standards required for mission-critical applications.
Responsibilities- Execute complex machining and grinding tasks with minimal oversight, demonstrating a high level of technical autonomy.
- Interpret intricate blueprints and technical work instructions to ensure precise component fabrication.
- Operate a diverse array of equipment including CNC lathes (2-4 axis), surface grinders, jig grinders, and horizontal/vertical machining centers.
- Perform advanced inspection and utilize hand metrology to verify that all parts meet exact specifications.
- Troubleshoot machining processes to optimize production efficiency and maintain quality standards.
- Maintain a focus on the criticality of aerospace-grade parts, ensuring safety and performance in every finished unit.
- 10+ years of professional experience in precision machining and grinding.
- Proficiency in CNC programming and operation of manual/CNC machinery.
- Strong command of the English language for technical communication.
- U.S. Citizenship status is required for compliance with specific project mandates.
- Expertise in precision measurement, gauge usage, and advanced inspection techniques.
- Background in aviation or aerospace manufacturing environments.
- Previous experience working within an FAA repair station.
- Military aviation maintenance or machining experience.
- Versatility in operating diverse manual mills, lathes, and specialized grinding equipment.
