Nurse Director of Emergency and Critical Care Services RN

About the Role

An exciting leadership opportunity is available for an experienced nursing leader to oversee Emergency and Critical Care services at a community hospital in Southern California. The Director of ER / ICU will play a key role in supporting high-quality patient care while leading two critical hospital departments.

The Director of Emergency Services will have 24-hour accountability for department operations, patient care, staffing, and team performance. This leader will work closely with physicians, nursing leaders, and hospital administration to improve outcomes and support a strong patient experience. The role will provide an opportunity to make a direct impact on department performance while supporting a collaborative environment for both clinical teams and patients.

The ICU Director will also oversee performance improvement, regulatory compliance, staff development, and daily operations. This is a visible leadership role for someone who enjoys building strong teams and creating a positive clinical environment. The ideal leader will be comfortable balancing day-to-day operations with long-term goals. Strong communication and the ability to work across departments will be important in this role.

• BSN and current California RN license
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required.
• 2 years of nursing leadership experience and 3+ years of acute care experience.
• CEN certification is preferred.
