This role supports our Defense Systems business, bringing together Hypersonics, Strategic Missile Defense, Tactical Missiles, and Integrated Defense Systems. Modern defense missions demand more than piecemeal parts or patchwork products; they require hardware that seamlessly integrates disparate technologies into a unified system. Backed by decades of flight‑proven performance, our teams deliver tailored mission‑ready solutions across air, land, and sea, including: launch and deployment systems, propulsion, payload protection, integration and deployment.

In this role, you help keep production hardware moving on schedule by coordinating documentation, quality tasks, and cross‑department communication. You work closely with engineering, machining, production, inspection, and shipping teams to ensure documentation packages, certifications, and quality records are complete, accurate, and available when needed. Your work directly supports on‑time delivery and smooth workflow across the organization.

Schedule

  • The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates documentation flow and approval routing to support production schedules.
  • Creates, assembles, and maintains documentation packages and ensures files are accurate and easily accessible.
  • Supports quality tasks and functions as a quality liaison across engineering, production, machining, inspection, and shipping teams.
  • Reviews documentation, material certifications, testing certifications, and production records for completeness and compliance.
  • Checks formatting and conformance of documents and templates.
  • Provides support on tasks and projects assigned by management.
  • Provides basic word‑processing support and general administrative assistance.
  • Provides training and support to internal users on relevant software tools.
  • Notifies management of compliance‑related questions or issues.
  • Reviews program contracts to confirm that documentation requirements are met.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent in work experience.
  • Ability to read, speak, and write in English.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AS9100 and/or International Organization for Standardization (ISO)9001.
  • Aerospace or defense industry experience.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to walk, climb stairs, and access production areas across multi‑building facilities.
  • Ability to work in production environments that may be noisy, dusty, or experience varying temperatures.
  • Ability to follow safety protocols, including use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, use hands frequently for typing and handling files, operate standard office equipment, and conduct in‑person and phone communication.
  • Ability to lift files, papers, common office tools and equipment, and a laptop.
    The essential functions of this position must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
