The Custodian is responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of all areas assigned.

• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule
• Perform hazardous waste responsibilities including collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping, receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, and packaging special and hazardous waste.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
• Stop at risk behaviors of others and self
• Perform work assignments in a team with other employees
• Perform repetitive tasks
• Maintain a clean work area
• Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules
• Take direction and respond to supervision
• Communicate with leads, supervisors, co‑workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner
• Fill in during staff shortages
• Support shift lead in completing punch‑list items
• Use proper personal protective equipment
• Present a professional appearance and conduct
• Understand customer service and satisfaction
• Understand reporting systems and environmental practices

Education and/or

Experience:

No specific education requirement; 3–6 months training or experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: May require a valid driver’s license; completion of all safety and task training certifications; forklift certification may be required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willingness to share with the team
• Knowledge of the upkeep and care of cleaning equipment
• Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use
• Bilingual language skills are a plus

Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

• Employee is frequently required to sit, talk, or listen.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
• Work environment includes frequent posting of hazardous materials; reasonable accommodations may be made for employees with disabilities.

$17.77–$18.18 per hour

Monday – Friday 5:00 PM – 1:30 AM
