The Aptus Group is hiring a dependable and attentive School Bus Monitor to support students on school bus routes in Huntington Park, CA
. In this role, you will ride alongside students during morning and afternoon transportation, monitoring and redirecting behavior as needed to help maintain a safe, calm, and respectful environment throughout transportation.

Pay Rate: $19 - $21 per hour

Qualifications:

Required:High school diploma or equivalent
60 college units or an AA/AS degree is preferred
Experience working with children or adolescents preferred
Ability to remain calm and patient when managing student behavior
Strong communication and observation skills
Dependable attendance and punctuality
Ability to follow directions and established safety procedures
Reliable transportation

Responsibilities:

Ride school bus routes during morning and afternoon transportation
Monitor student behavior and help maintain a safe and peaceful environment
Provide appropriate redirection and behavioral support when needed
Follow school and transportation safety procedures
Use the designated work cell phone to communicate as needed and remain accessible during assigned bus routes.
Communicate concerns or incidents to the appropriate school staff
Build positive and respectful relationships with students
Remain attentive throughout the duration of each bus route
