Job Title: Nursing Educator/Infection Control Nurse

• Provide education and training to nursing staff on new procedures, policies, and regulations
• Develop and implement educational programs to improve clinical skills and knowledge
• Conduct simulations and role-playing exercises to enhance critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Monitor and evaluate staff performance and provide constructive feedback and coaching
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction
• Track infection rates, such as MRSA,
  
  C. diff, or surgical site infections, to identify trends
• Create and enforce protocols for disinfection, sterilization, and environmental cleaning to meet regulatory standards
• Teach healthcare staff on proper hand hygiene, aseptic techniques, and the correct use of PPE
• Conduct regular audits of the facility to identify and mitigate infection risks
• Work with clinical teams, environmental services, and public health officials to prevent infection transmission

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a nursing or education setting
• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Nursing, Education, or a related field
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of New York
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly

• Perform surveillance, educate staff on hygiene and PPE, and ensure compliance with CDC, CMS, and local health regulations
