Second Shift Welder – Huntington

Schedule and Pay
  • Pay: $22–$25 per hour, plus a 10% shift premium.
  • Shift: 2:00 PM to 12:30 AM Monday–Thursday.
  • Benefits begin within 30 days of employment.
  • First year: 15 days of personal time.
  • 10 paid holidays per year.
  • Training shift:
    Monday–Friday, 5:30 AM–2:00 PM, approximately 6 weeks.
Responsibilities
  • Fabricate components using cutting, welding, drilling and other techniques.
  • Work from blueprints and written specifications to meet customer requirements using MIG and TIG welding.
  • Use various processes—including cutting, MIG welding, drilling—to fabricate components as required to complete projects.
  • Conduct quality control checks on own work to ensure components meet required specifications and standards; perform inspections of welded joints and fabricated components to identify and rectify defects.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of welding experience, preferably in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
  • Competency in steel/galvanneal and aluminum MIG processes; TIG welding is a plus.
  • Hands‑on experience with cutting, drilling, and other fabrication techniques.
  • Ability to work from blueprints and written specifications to fabricate components.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and practices in welding and fabrication environments.
  • Must be competent producing good welds in flat and horizontal positions, uphill, downhill, and overhead welds.
  • Experience using cutting torch and plasma cutter preferred.
  • Ability to wear a respirator.
  • Required to pass a G1 weld test.
  • Performance must meet company standards, including standard operating procedures, attendance, quality, and performance.
  • Must pass a physical exam, drug test, and criminal background check prior to employment.
