AboutThe Role
We’re looking for an experienced Assembler to join our team in Huntington, IN. In this advanced role, you’ll build conveyor systems and equipment based on engineering specifications, working mostly independently. You’ll also take on leadership responsibilities, helping guide projects and support other team members.
What You’ll Do- Assemble conveyor systems and components using engineering drawings and work instructions
- Work on a variety of builds, from individual components to fully integrated systems
- Perform basic wiring using electrical schematics
- Troubleshoot issues and suggest improvements when needed
- Work in small teams on projects from start through final testing and approval
- Help ensure projects stay on schedule, within budget, and meet Pro Mach quality standards
- Train and mentor other team members
- Keep your work area and materials organized throughout each project
- Partner with Engineering on prototype builds and testing
- Promote continuous improvement and share ideas to improve processes
- Follow all safety standards and help maintain a safe work environment
- Assist in other departments as needed
- Occasional travel for installations or service calls
- Uphold and maintain the Pro Mach Performance Culture
- High school diploma or GED
- Technical training or 2-3 years related maintenance or automation experience; or sufficient ability to demonstrate required technical ability
- Ability to read blueprints, instructions, and schematics
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and lead small teams when needed
- Reliable, motivated, and team‑oriented
- Ability to work overtime as required
- Regularly required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance and work overhead.
- Ability to regularly lift 10 pounds, frequently lift 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Safety shoes and safety glasses are required
