Summary

The Quality/Blending Technician plays a critical role in ensuring product integrity and compliance with customer requirements. This position supports both internal operations and customer-facing initiatives through rigorous testing, documentation, and collaboration with technical and sales teams.

Responsibilities
  • Batch, mix, and blend products according to specifications for customer orders.
  • Measure, weigh, and load raw materials into machines.
  • Monitor mixtures for consistency and viscosity.
  • Sample, test, and approve incoming raw materials and finished products to meet specifications and customer requirements.
  • Provide support for manufacturing areas.
  • Perform routine and advanced quality tests, including appearance, specific gravity, pH, and refractive index measurements, coating weight, and adhesion testing.
  • Execute various panel tests for corrosion resistance and coating performance.
  • Prepare internal lab samples.
  • Maintain inventory of retained samples and manage rotation schedules.
  • Generate Certificates of Analysis and maintain accurate records of all testing activities.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and internal SOPs.
  • Assist chemists and technical staff with special projects under the direction of leadership.
  • Provide technical support for sales initiatives and customer projects.

Additional

Skills & Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in GMP quality operations environment
  • Experience with blending, mixing, or other related manufacturing preferred
Work Environment

This role operates in a manufacturing environment involving metal working fluids, lubricants, and coolants. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7 am to 4 pm. The company is currently renovating a new facility for expansion, offering the opportunity to develop SOPs and implement quality functions. The work setting includes a small team where independent work is expected post‑training.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
