Senior Accountant

Description

Join our Full-Time Engagement Professionals (FTEP) team as a Senior Accountant and make a direct impact on our clients' businesses. As a full-time employee of our team, you will be deployed on key projects or interim assignments, supporting a variety of clients and industries, and enjoying continued career development and stability.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Manage complex general ledger activities, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close processes

+ Prepare and review financial statements, supporting schedules, and variance analyses

+ Mentor junior accounting staff and collaborate with client teams to ensure best practices

+ Support internal controls, process improvements, and audit engagements

+ Perform technical accounting research and assist in implementing new accounting standards

Requirements

+ 5+ years of progressive accounting experience; public accounting or multi-industry background is a plus

+ Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting

+ Proficiency with leading accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Net Suite)

+ Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or progress toward certification preferred

+ Willing to work fully onsite in Suffolk and Nassau counties
