Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to lead and support civil engineering design projects. This role involves working on site layout, grading, stormwater management, utilities, and roadway components, along with preparing engineering reports, technical calculations, design documents, and permitting packages.

Responsibilities

+ Lead civil engineering design projects, including site layout, grading, stormwater management, utilities, and roadway components.

+ Prepare engineering reports, technical calculations, design documents, and permitting packages.

+ Assist with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.

+ Participate in client meetings, municipal hearings, and on-site evaluations as needed.

+ Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including NYSDEC and local municipalities.

+ Oversee work performed by junior engineers, drafters, and field personnel.

+ Provide quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) on design deliverables.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in Autocad and Civil 3D.

+ 2+ years of Civil Engineering experience.

+

Experience with site layout design, grading, drainage systems, utility routing, and sanitary system design.

+ Experience in hydrologic/hydraulic engineering and land development.

+ Strong civil design skills.

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

+ On track to obtain PE license.

Work Environment

The work schedule is from 8:30 AM to 5 PM with a 30-minute lunch break. The role requires occasional travel to job sites, with timing varying based on project needs. Employees benefit from additional compensation of 1.5 times the regular rate for any hours worked over 40 in a week.

This is a Permanent position based out of Huntington, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
