Project Civil Engineer

A multi-discipline consulting firm is seeking a Project Civil Engineer for their growing team in Huntington, New York! Responsibilities include design/coordination of work on multidiscipline projects, due diligence/site feasibility studies, site engineering through regulatory approvals and full permitting, developing site layout/design (site grading and storm drainage, roadway design, water and sewer infrastructure, erosion and sediment control), using knowledge of NYSDEC stormwater management and SWPPP requirements to prepare hydrology and hydraulic calculations, performing project administration (writing reports, gathering information, writing proposals & correspondence, tracking project costs, and completing progress reports), preparing engineer's opinion of probable costs for designed projects and specifications for public bids, coordinating tasks with other engineering and architectural departments within the firm, communicating directly with clients, and ensuring a high-quality, on-time, on budget, technical delivery of all project requirements.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or closely related discipline, 5+ years of experience, PE preferred, site development/municipal engineering project design experience, thorough understanding of the entitlement processes on Long Island, knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices of related technical areas, familiarity with the design of public infrastructure/public bidding process, and strong knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3D skills, Autoturn, Excel, and Photoshop.
