Job Description
The School of Music seeks a temporary music instructor to fill a recently vacated position in the School of Music by Dr. Stephen Lawson. This faculty member’s responsibilities in the school were many, but primary need is focused in the music theory and aural skills courses. These courses are an essential part of the music curriculum, and all music majors must pass these courses to proceed in their degree programs.
We need an instructor to teach MUS 111 and MUS 112, Music Theory courses, and MUS 113 and MUS 114, Aural Skills courses, as well as an instructor to teach Music Analysis, MUS 301. In addition to the music theory related courses, we seek someone who can teach in the music technology and audio production areas. Responsibilities will include teaching MUS 218, Introduction to Music Technology, MUS 218, Digital Recording Techniques, and MUS 432, Music Production.
