Intensivist at Children's Mercy Hospitals and Clinics
The Division of Critical Care at Children's Mercy Hospitals and Clinics is seeking full-time intensivists to join its division.
About the PICU: A 43-bed multidisciplinary unit admitting approximately 2,200 patients annually, including complex medical and surgical cases such as sepsis, acute lung injury, multi-organ failure, trauma, transplants, and neurological emergencies. The unit features advanced ventilatory support, renal therapies, plasma exchange, and an active ECMO program performing around 30 cases per year.
Staffing and Training: The clinical team includes pediatric and rotating residents, PICU hospitalists, APRNs, and fellows from the division’s 7-person fellowship program. Pediatric emergency medicine fellows also rotate through the PICU.
Candidate
Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will have training in a qua ternary care ICU, leadership experience in multidisciplinary teams, and interests in academic pursuits, quality improvement, or clinical research.
Faculty Appointment: Available through an affiliation with the University of Missouri-Kansas City, commensurate with experience.
