Job Description
Marshall University’s School of Theatre and Dance is seeking applications a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Theatre Technology/Technical Direction beginning August 2024. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing scenic technology and technical management for all productions; teaching courses in technical theatre, design, and general theatre; and contributing to the University’s general education curriculum and its emphasis on using high-impact teaching practices, particularly those affiliated with one (or more) of the institution’s pedagogical initiatives (e.g., Community-based Learning, Critical Thinking, First Year Seminar, Writing Across Curriculum, etc.).
Additionally, the ideal candidate will contribute to the College’s support of interdisciplinary programs of study.
