Graduate Assistant (Full time, 20 hours per week)

Graduate Assistant:
Faculty Support – Assist faculty with laboratory supervision, grading quizzes, homework, and other course and research duties as assigned.

• Provide one‑on‑one academic tutoring for H.E.L.P. students.
• Assist students in developing study strategies and individualized study plans.
• Help students organize and manage schedules.
• Clarify and augment lecture notes.
• Teach concepts using multisensory techniques.
• Teach organization and time‑management skills.
• Monitor student progress by communicating with students and professors.
• Send legal notification to professors regarding students with disabilities and accommodations.
• Organize and facilitate testing accommodations for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and Vocational Rehabilitation Act.
• Proctor exams under the supervision of a staff monitor.
• Maintain attendance records.
• Notify students and parents about absences from tutoring sessions.
• Write end‑of‑semester reports for each student.
• Participate in weekly tutor training and development sessions.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Ability to perform duties as described.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Tutoring Experience.
