Assistant Professor- Nursing

Job Description

The Department of Nursing invites applications for a nine month tenure-track position starting in the Fall of 2024 at the Assistant Professor rank.

• Provide service to the School of Nursing, College of Health Professions, University, and nursing profession/community.
• Responsible for assisting with the accreditation process of the MSN program.
• Work with full and part time faculty.
• Curricular development, revision, and evaluation.
• Active engagement in student recruitment, admission, and progression
• Seek external funding for programmatic enhancements.
• Establish partnership for future the mission of the program.
• Lead evaluation of program and students’ outcomes.
• Teach students in the Family Nurse Practitioner ( FNP ) program and advise graduate nursing students.
• Engage in scholarship and research. The department also seeks candidates who will contribute to the University’s general education curriculum and its emphasis on using high-impact teaching practices, particularly those affiliated with one (or more) of the institution’s pedagogical initiatives (e.g., Community-based Learning, Critical Thinking, First Year Seminar, Writing Across Curriculum, etc.). Additionally, the ideal candidate will contribute to the College’s support of interdisciplinary programs of study.
