IT Infrastructure Engineer

Marshall University is a public comprehensive university located in Huntington, WV. The Information Technology Infrastructure Team is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support MU’s growing network infrastructure.

• Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure.
• Configure routing protocols, BGP, QoS, and Layer 2/3 switching.
• Configure and manage firewall and security devices.
• Ensure the stability, security, and efficiency of the network.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in network engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with routing protocols, BGP, QoS, Layer 2/3 switching, and firewall configuration.
• Preferred: experience with Palo Alto Firewalls, Cisco Switching – IOS and IOS XE, Cisco Routing – Cisco IOS XE, Cisco WiFi – IOS XE, and Cisco Catalyst Center.

Salary Range: $52,105 – $67,736 (commensurate with education, experience, and internal equity)
