Role Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Manager - PMO for our Solar EPC Business Unit. The ideal candidate will support project planning, coordination, monitoring, and governance across multiple utility-scale and C&I solar projects. This role will assist in aligning engineering, procurement, site execution, quality, and financial controls to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion. The Assistant Manager will play a critical role in project tracking, documentation, reporting, and cross-functional coordination to support smooth delivery of projects in line with organizational objectives.

Roles And Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination & Monitoring:
    Support day-to-day coordination of ongoing Solar EPC projects across different locations.
  • Track project schedules, milestones, deliverables, and risks, ensuring timely escalation of issues.
  • Prepare and maintain project dashboards, trackers, and reports for internal review.
  • Ensure all project activities follow established PMO processes and guidelines.
  • Project Planning & Documentation:
    Assist in developing project execution plans, timelines, and resource planning sheets.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams for timely release of drawings, designs, and technical documents.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation including BoQs, RFIs, MOMs, baseline schedules, and change requests.
  • Support digital tools and software used for project planning and monitoring (MS Project, Primavera, ERP, etc.).
  • Procurement Support & Vendor Coordination:
    Work with procurement team to track material delivery schedules and vendor performance.
  • Follow up on purchase orders, delivery timelines, logistics issues, and site material requirements.
  • Coordinate with quality and engineering teams for FATs, inspection reports, and material approvals.
  • Quality & Compliance Support:
    Ensure site teams adhere to QA/QC guidelines and technical specifications.
  • Track closure of NCRs, punch lists, inspection comments, and quality deviations.
  • Assist in compliance with DISCOM, CEA, MNRE, and state regulatory documentation requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination:
    Facilitate communication between Sales/BD, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Finance, and SCM teams.
  • Support sales/BD in technical handover, project initiation activities, and client coordination.
  • Coordinate with finance for project billing, cost tracking, cash flow projections, and documentation.
  • Support contract and legal functions for drafting, reviewing, and monitoring contract compliance.
  • Resource & Inventory Monitoring:
    Track manpower deployment, contractor mobilization, and equipment utilization at project sites.
  • Monitor site inventory levels for modules, MMS, cables, and BOS materials to avoid shortages.
  • Coordinate with logistics for material dispatch and on-site storage planning.
  • Cost Control & Financial Tracking:
    Assist in monitoring project budgets, expenditure, and cost deviations.
  • Maintain cost trackers, cash flow charts, and vendor billing statements.
  • Support identification of cost-saving opportunities and resource optimization.
  • Execution Support & Site Coordination:
    Collaborate with site teams for timely execution of civil, mechanical, and electrical activities.
  • Track daily, weekly, and monthly site progress reports.
  • Support site readiness for inspections, testing, and commission activities.
  • Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Support:
    Ensure site teams follow HSE procedures, safety guidelines, and audit recommendations.
  • Track incident reports, safety observations, and corrective actions.
  • Promote a safety-first culture in all project-related activities.
Qualifications & Experience

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, EEE) or equivalent.

Strong understanding of solar project workflows - engineering, procurement, logistics, and construction.

Familiarity with project management tools (MS Project, Primavera) and ERP systems.

Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Languages: English, Hindi;
Gujarati preferred.
