The Long Products Division, Steel of West Virginia has an opening for an Purchasing Clerk.

The Purchasing Agentis responsible forobtainingmaterialstockedin the warehouse.

These duties include:

• Identify and select suppliers considering quality, delivery, and price
• Contact suppliers to obtain pricing and specifications
• Reviews acquisitions, verifies specifications anddeterminesproper method for procurement
• Proactively expedites orders with suppliers until delivery is complete
• Manages warehouse inventory
• Assist otherplantpersonnelwhen they comeinto the warehouse for supplies.
• Must wear designated PPE (metatarsal boots) and appropriate clothinginside the warehouse.
• Any other duties expressed by the supervisor.

• Effective communication /customer service skills
• Detailed oriented
• Analytical, organized,accurate, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor's degree is preferred;
  Concentration in Business Administration, Economics, or Supply Chain is preferred. Real worldpurchasingexperience can substitute for educational requirements.
• Proficient with MS Office Suites (Excel, Word)
