The Long Products Division, Steel of West Virginia has an opening for a Sales Supervisor. The Sales Supervisor will lead and manage the Inside Sales Team, with the support of the Sales Management team. This role is responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service by maintaining system integrity, ensuring accurate pricing, overseeing training and development, and monitoring key performance metrics.
Responsibilities and Qualifications- Lead and manage an Inside Sales Team of approximately eight (8) direct reports
- Establish clear performance expectations and drive a culture of customer service excellence across SWVA
- Actively participate in strategic planning efforts, including forecasting, business growth initiatives, and providing market intelligence from the inside sales perspective
- Train, mentor, and track the Inside Sales team on the fundamentals of their responsibilities
- Work within the current and future ERP and CRM systems
- Manage timecards, absences, and vacation schedules in order to maintain adequate coverage to support sales from the inside desk
- Collaborate and plan with all other departments to ensure customer-related needs are addressed, along with pushing our overall sales goals
- Track and monitor team performance using established key performance indicators
- All other duties as assigned
- Customer Service/Sales Experience
- Must be located at the SWVA Huntington, WV sales office
- Strong leadership skills with the ability achieve company’s objectives with a team
- Desire and ability to grow and develop teammates
- High energy, self-motivated, well-organized, and dedicated to continuous improvement
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks for self and team
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels inside and outside the organization
- Proficient in Email, Excel, Word, & Power Point
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience
- 4-year Degree
- Experience with ERP & CRM systems
