About Us

Starlight Behavioral Health is located in West Virginia and offers residential services, waiver services for individuals with I/DD, ABA services for individuals diagnosed on the spectrum, service coordination, and natural family services.

About The role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to provide the following:

  • Ensure the overall health and safety of the client at all times
  • Address immediate medical needs of clients (phone or in person)
  • Attend and participate in IDT meetings for assigned clients
  • Complete annual nursing assessments and self medication assessment and develop plan of care
  • Maintain confidentiality of client information at all times
  • Complete documentation and submit to Clinical Director weekly
  • Complete forms for prior authorization of services
  • Demonstrate understanding of agency policies and procedures
  • Completion of monthly nursing summaries
  • Serve as a liaison between SBH and other agencies, community members, and medical professionals
Compensation

This role is compensated on a salaried basis, providing consistent earnings aligned with the responsibilities and expectations of the position.

  • Compensation Starting At: $72,665 (plus mileage reimbursement)

Actual compensation amount is based on licensure level, education, and experience.

What You Can Expect
  • Provide nursing support and ensure client health and safety.
  • Complete assessments and help develop care plans.
  • Maintain accurate client records and required documentation.
  • Work with healthcare providers, families, and community agencies to coordinate care.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor clients' health and respond to medical needs.
  • Conduct nursing assessments and update care plans.
  • Complete and submit required documentation and reports.
  • Participate in team meetings and coordinate care with providers and community partners.
Qualifications
  • Licensed to practice in West Virginia as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working with I/DD population required (no exceptions can be made)
  • AMAP RN Certification (or willingness to become certified)
  • CPR/First Aid certification
  • CPR Instructor Certification (or willingness to become certified)
  • Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
  • Ability to travel 50-60% in the city of Huntington, WV
