American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Float RN for a night shift contract requiring strong orthopedic experience and Cerner proficiency.

• Medical Surgical Float unit within a short term acute care, major teaching hospital and Level II Trauma center
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours), 19:00-7:00
• Contract runs through winter holiday coverage period
• Floats within scope to meet facility needs
• No call requirements
• Weekend requirement of 4 Saturdays and 4 Sundays per 8-week schedule
• Schedules issued in 8-week increments; block scheduling not guaranteed but may be attempted

• Active WV or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required, 2 years preferred
• Strong orthopedic experience required
• Cerner charting experience required for first-time travelers to be considered
• Two professional references required for consideration

• Provide medical-surgical nursing care with a focus on orthopedic patients
• Black scrubs required (Cabell T-shirt may be worn in place of scrub top); surgery scrubs provided if assigned to Surgery area
• Free parking available for travelers
• First-time travelers accepted if they have Cerner experience
• Local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted
• Standard and holiday time off requests may be submitted, limited to one of three major holidays, subject to facility approval
