position summary

we are seeking an experienced nas 410 level ii mt/pt technician for a long-term temporary project supporting pratt & whitney in west virginia. The successful candidate will perform magnetic particle inspection (mpi) and fluorescent penetrant inspection (fpi) in accordance with applicable procedures, specifications, and quality standards.

responsibilities
  • perform level ii magnetic particle inspection (mpi/mt) and fluorescent penetrant inspection (fpi/pt).
  • interpret and evaluate inspection results in accordance with applicable specifications and procedures.
  • set up and operate ndt equipment.
  • identify, document, and report indications and inspection results accurately.
  • complete required inspection documentation and reports.
  • follow all applicable safety, quality, and customer requirements.
  • maintain ndt equipment and ensure proper calibration and operation.
  • work effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment while maintaining quality and productivity standards.
qualifications
  • nas 410 level ii certification in mt/pt required.
  • experience performing both mpi and fpi inspections.
  • ability to interpret technical specifications, procedures, and inspection criteria.
  • strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
  • ability to work 50–60 hours per week.
  • must be willing to work a 6–9 month temporary project in west virginia.
  • aerospace or pratt & whitney experience is preferred.
