the primary function of this position will be to assist the quality assurance manager in the implementation and administration of the quality management system in the huntington, burnaugh, and elkhart facilities.
essential functions- preparation of quality procedures and work instructions.
- conduct quality audits, both internally and off-site.
- complete customer quality surveys.
- review purchase orders for accuracy.
- initiate/evaluate and document quality system corrective actions.
- interact with customer and society representatives as guide and host during customer and society sponsored quality system audits.
- accomplishes all tasks as appropriate.
- associate degree or 2 to 5 years in a related manufacturing or quality position.
- working knowledge in reading and interpreting technical specifications and industry standards.
- work well in a team environment in a cooperative manner.
- ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- excellent organizational skills.
- proficient at advanced problem solving.
- assist with the direction of others less experience employees.
- working knowledge of quality management system requirements (especially as it applies to nonconforming material and corrective and preventative action).
- proficient and accuracy using ms office word processing, database and presentation programs.
- excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- ability to make presentations to colleagues at various levels with a high level of confidence.
