Marine Sales Representative

Marine Salesperson The ideal candidate is passionate about boating and educating the customers about the best boat for their next purchase. They are responsible for marine boat, motor, and trailer sales.

Responsibilities:
Demonstrates excellent customer service standards. Follows all company policies and procedures, including loss prevention guidelines to deter theft. Demonstrates advanced product knowledge and develops / maintains awareness of new products. Attends necessary dealer meetings and seminars to ensure knowledge of marine products for the upcoming model year. Manages daily responsibilities of Marine Sales Floor workload, cleaning boats, checking window stickers, cash boat deposits and moving boats in and out of showroom.

Communicates with Accounting with regards to inventory and transactions as needed. Coordinates meal breaks, and shares team successes and opportunities. Demonstrates courtesy, friendliness, and professionalism at all times. Assists Parts Specialist, Service Writers, and Technicians as needed with questions about sold boat. Accepts special assignments as directed by Leadership. Ensures compliance of Rock Outdoors personnel policies and procedures. Maintains adherence to Rock Outdoor safety policies and ensures the safety of Associates and Customers.

Works in tandem with the Retail staff to ensure good overall health of the facility and its operations

Requirements:
Possesses excellent customer service skills, communication and listening skills, ability to learn and execute the concept. Possesses strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations. Prolonged periods of standing and walking. Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, holidays, and every weekend during selling season.

Travel for Boat Shows and other Rock Outdoors locations as required. Works effectively with peers and supervisors to accomplish tasks. High school diploma or GED required. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Marine knowledge is required.
