Job Description

The Carpenter performs skilled carpentry work in the construction, maintenance, repair and alteration of building structures and facilities following recognized procedures and techniques of the carpentry trade. The Carpenter practices preventive maintenance of carpentry tools and equipment, and complies with federal regulations governing safety, environmental protection, hazardous waste disposal and the use of chemical substances and materials common to construction. Performs work/repairs in accordance to work orders or verbal instructions.

Location MU - Marshall University Salary Range $33,381 - $38,389 - Salary may be increased based off education, experience, and internal equity. Salary Grade 3 Salary Type Salary Time Type Full-Time

Must be able to perform all essential job duties as outlined in the job description.

Required Qualifications

Education

High School Diploma or GED.

Experience

2 years' experience in Construction related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Education

18 months Vocational or Equivalent Training in Construction related field.

Experience

5 years experience in Construction related field.
