Storeroom​/Warehouse Clerk

The Long Products Division of Steel of West Virginia has an immediate opening for a Storeroom/Warehouse Clerk. This position is challenged with ensuring best inventory practices are maintained, including spot checks and periodic inventory audits and cost-control measures.

This is a 4-day on, 4-day off shift, each shift lasting 12 hours. The role is entry-level and offers a great way to get your foot in the door of a great place with a weekly production bonus.

• The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for overseeing the receiving and stocking of storeroom items, and ensuring receiving paperwork is filed in a timely manner.
• Reports directly to the Storeroom Supervisor.
• Determines inventory stock levels.
• Performs other duties as required.
• Has working knowledge of mechanical/industrial products and good analytical skills.
• Has strong interpersonal skills to develop a cooperative work relationship with employees and vendors, both internally and externally.
• Previous experience with inventory database systems, setup, and management is a plus.
• Forklift certification required (training provided by SWVA during employment).
• Wears metatarsal steel-toe boots.
• Lifts up to 50 lbs.
• Stays on their feet most of the time.
• Climbs stairs, stocks/restocks.
• Assists other employees.
• Keeps up with inventory daily.
• Works 8 to 12-hour day and night shifts.
