Summary of Responsibilities:
The Case Manager ensures that students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) receive the accommodations, modifications, specially designed instruction, and supports outlined in their plans. This position serves as the primary facilitator of the IEP process, including coordinating and leading IEP meetings, collaborating with multidisciplinary team members, ensuring compliance with special education requirements, and maintaining accurate documentation. The Case Manager works closely with general education teachers, special education staff, related service providers, and families to support student success.
Responsibilities include providing teachers and support staff with concise summaries of student needs, offering ongoing consultation and problem-solving, and ensuring that accommodations and instructional supports are implemented consistently across settings. In addition to case management duties, the Case Manager provides specially designed instruction for students with executive functioning deficits, targeting areas such as organization, time management, task initiation, self-monitoring, planning, prioritization, and study skills.
The Case Manager may also participate in co-teaching opportunities within general education classrooms to support student access to curriculum and promote inclusive practices.
Summary of
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree; one to two years related experience and/or training preferred. Professional Educator License with LBS1 Endorsement.
