Branch Specialist

Consumers Credit Union (CCU) is hiring two full‑time Branch Specialists for our Huntley location. This early career role involves face‑to‑face member interaction, handling transactions, opening accounts and promoting products, with the goal of mastering hybrid branch duties as a concierge, teller, and personal banker.

• Welcome members in the branch to create a positive first impression.
• Assist and educate members on self‑service options, including Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs).
• Process transactions accurately and resolve account and service needs.
• Open new consumer accounts efficiently and with attention to detail.
• Identify opportunities to connect members with loans, mortgages, and wealth management services.
• Recommend improvements that enhance the member experience and branch operations.
• Maintain compliance with all policies, procedures, audits, and balancing standards.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of similar work experience (retail, customer service, guest relations, sales, or cash handling). Experience in a financial institution, teller or personal banker is preferred.
• Comfortable promoting products and services and engaging in consultative, sales‑oriented conversations.
• Strong comfort level with technology, including data systems, Microsoft Office, and web‑based tools.
• Excellent communication skills and a natural ability to build relationships.
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Positive, team‑oriented mindset with a high level of integrity and commitment to inclusion and diversity.
• Availability:
  Monday–Thursday 8:15 AM–5:15 PM, Friday 8:15 AM–6:15 PM, Saturdays 8:15 AM–1:15 PM.

The salary range for this role is $16.67–$25.01 per hour, with potential annual bonus. Eligible employees may participate in medical (High Deductible, HMO and PPO), dental, vision, short‑term disability, long‑term disability, life insurance, 401(k) and pension plans. Employees are automatically enrolled in the pension plan after six months of employment, 1,000 hours of service, and reaching the age of 20.
