Description
The Medical Students Coordinator reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities of the Medical Students Coordinator include, but are not limited to working in collaboration with the Medical Education Director, CME Committee, Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science (RFUMS) to coordinate medical students onboarding, rotation assignments, lectures, and other medical education activities as described below:
- Onboarding of medical students:
- Ensure systems access for medical students
- Plan and coordinate orientation day, including Epic training
- Set up meetings between the Medical Education Director and the medical students
- Point person for the Student Registered Nurse Anesthetist program (SRNA)
- Rotation assignments:
- Coordinate with medical students on which specialty they prefer
- Coordinate with the departments on the rotation assignments
- Coordinate medical education activities:
- Coordinate didactic lectures for medical students
- Plan and coordinate the Northwest Region Internal Medicine Grand Rounds
- Ensure compliance of medical education standards
- Administrative functions:
- Develop and maintain onboarding, orientation, rotation assignment, and medical education files
- Provide administrative support for the Medical Education Director when needed
- Arrange meetings and record meeting minutes
- Strong planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Minimum of 3 years of professional office/administrative experience
- Proficient with Microsoft:
Excel, Word
- Bachelor’s degree
