Position Overview
Machine Operator – Hunts Huntley, IL. 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM. Rate: $24.16/hour plus $0.50 shift differential. This role is performed under general supervision and requires setting up the proper tooling for thermoforming machines and operating the equipment per job specifications.
Responsibilities- Set up thermoforming machines for operation according to job specifications.
- Mount dies and molds and load rolls of raw materials.
- Engage machines to produce thermo‑formed parts and maintain continuous operation.
- Perform troubleshooting and quality control checks.
- Perform routine maintenance on thermoforming machines.
- Complete required job tickets.
- Work with Packers/Inspectors to resolve quality issues.
- Direct Packers/Inspectors to other areas when machines are down for troubleshooting or set‑up.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum 6 months of machine operator experience.
- 1-year previous production line experience preferred.
- Basic math, reading, writing, and English skills to complete paperwork.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and quality control processes.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to continuously lift, reach, stand, and walk throughout the day.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Manual dexterity and agility.
- Leadership skills.
- Self‑starting, willing to learn, and can perform other tasks as required.
- Exposure to heat, toxic fumes, greases, and lubricants.
- Standing, walking, bending, reaching, reading, writing, and talking.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
