Painter

Overview:
We are excited to announce an internal opportunity for a Painter in Huntley, IL. The Painter is responsible for applying paint, powder coat paint, and coatings to various industrial products and components in a manufacturing environment. This role involves preparing surfaces, selecting, and mixing paints, and ensuring high-quality finishes while adhering to safety and production standards.

Essential Responsibilities:

* Clean, sand, and prepare surfaces for painting to ensure proper adhesion of coatings.

* Mask and tape areas to protect surfaces that should not be painted.

* Inspect and repair surfaces as needed to ensure they meet quality standards.

* Hang and/or remove parts on conveyor system for powder coat application process.

* Mix paints, primers, and other coatings according to specifications and prepare paint equipment.

* Apply paint and powder coat paint using various methods including spray guns, brushes, and rollers.

* Achieve desired color and finish by adjusting paint consistency and application techniques.

* Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.

* Maintain accurate records of paint usage, inventory, and work performed.

* Assist with other production tasks as needed to support overall workflow.

* Maintain all in-process paint specific inspections.

Minimum Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent.

* 1+ years of painting experience.

* Knowledge of various painting techniques, materials, and equipment.

* Strong attention to detail.

* Ability to work effectively and cooperatively independently and as part of a team.

* Ability to multi-task and prioritize.

* Ability to use time productively with minimal supervision.

* Commitment to safety.
