Machine Operator

Machine Operator (2nd Shift) –

Hours:
3rd Shift3:00PM–11:00PM – Rate: $24.89/hr plus $0.50 shift differential.
With general supervision, sets‑up the proper tooling needed in the thermoforming machines and operates the machines per job specifications.
Responsibilities- Sets up thermoforming machines for operation per job specifications.
- Mounts dies and molds and loads rolls of raw materials into the machine.
- Engages machine to produce thermo‑formed parts and maintains continuous operation.
- Performs troubleshooting and quality control checks.
- Performs routine maintenance on thermoforming machines.
- Completes required job tickets.
- Works with packers/inspectors to resolve quality issues as needed.
- Directs packers/inspectors to other areas when machine is down for troubleshooting or set up.
- Maintains a safe, clean and organized work area.
- Performs other work duties or functions as assigned.
- Ability to continuously lift, reach, stand, and walk throughout the day.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Uses and reads calipers (Level One).
- Self‑starting, willing to learn, and performs other tasks as required.
- Basic math and English skills for paperwork.
- Active team member with good communication and 97% attendance.
- Accurate daily box counts and runs specified number of parts per job.
- Good working relationship with inspectors and operators.
- Verifies specification requirements of each part.
- Sets up machines as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 6 months of machine operator experience.
- 1 year of previous production line experience preferred.
- Experience as a skilled manufacturing operator.
- Ability to read, write, and perform math skills.
- Understanding of manufacturing and quality control.
- Good manual dexterity and agility.
- Good leadership skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, bend, reach.
