Summary:

The Sample Press Operator produces sample parts from prototype molds and production tools by setting up and operating sample press equipment. This role requires attention to detail, use of precision measuring instruments, and the ability to create quality samples that meet engineering and production standards.

• Set up and operate sample press equipment to produce sample parts from prototype molds and production tools.
• Read work orders, engineering drawings, and sample request packets to determine production requirements.
• Use measuring tools and inspection techniques to verify quality and accuracy of finished parts.
• Trim, cut, and prepare samples using prototype dies, laser equipment, and hand tools as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety and quality standards.

• High school diploma or equivalent and familiarity with a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read work orders, drawings, prints, and specifications accurately.
• Experience using micrometers, dial calipers, rulers, protractors, and other measuring instruments.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull 50 lbs. or more, stand for extended periods, and perform physically demanding work.
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, reliability, safety awareness, and willingness to learn.
