- RANGE OF PAY: $22.72 - $23.97 / Hour

Will assist with light maintenance and repair to all components of the buildings and grounds. Work with Administration and Contractors as it relates to maintenance and repairs of plumbing and electrical systems, and other areas. Participate in the District s Preventative Maintenance program. Respond to emergency repair needs for facilities and snow removal tasks at any hour as required. Participate in the District s Weekend On-Call duty rotation.
Minimum Requirements- Associate s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and maintenance/custodial experience.
- Valid Illinois driver s license required.
- Experience working in the trades is preferred.
- Experience with commercial building plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC. Education in HVAC.
While performing the duties of this job, there is a requirement for frequent walking; use of hands to finger, handle, or feel; reaching with hands and arms; climbing or balancing; stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling and talking or hearing. Occasional requirements to stand; sit; and taste or smell. Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Working ConditionsEnvironmental conditions include wet and/or humid conditions; exposure to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock and vibration. Occasional exposure to extreme cold and extreme heat. Noise level is usually loud.
