Billing Accountant II
Torch Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Billing Accountant II to support our Accounting Department. This position requires billing experience in a government contract environment, Costpoint experience, and proficiency in Excel. Work location is Torch Corporate Headquarters.
Responsibilities- Billing contracts on a bi‑weekly and monthly basis to DoW customers through Wide Area Workflow and a variety of other avenues. This includes analysis of WAWF data to determine billing funding levels and assess success of invoice progressing through the WAWF process.
- Set up billing formats and project configurations in Costpoint from information obtained in the contract.
- Identify and resolve revenue issues.
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare monthly journal entries, such as direct cost accruals, GSA fee accruals, CAF accruals.
- Reconcile Billing to Revenue.
- Reconcile Billing to Cost Reports.
- Monthly review of Accounts Receivable to identify and resolve late payment issues.
- Monthly review of Unbilled Accounts Receivable.
- Participate in contract close‑outs and coordinate de‑obligations of funding.
- US Citizenship.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2–5 years of experience in processing billing for various contract types such as Cost Plus, Fixed Price, and Time and Material.
- Knowledge of close‑outs and ULOs.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to coordinate easily with other back‑office departments including Program Control and Contracts.
