Accountant I
U.S. CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED.
Job PurposePrepare monthly journal entries and ensures accuracy of entries by performing monthly account reconciliations for prepaids, overheads, progress billings, advance payments, etc. Will prepare SCI expense reports for approval, and assist with preparing temp labor invoices for review/approval. Interface with other departments as necessary. Ensure accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP and GOVT regulations. Will assist with internal and external audits.
Natureof Duties
- Accountable for preparing journal entries
- Account reconciliations
- Close and balance sub ledger accounts
- Respond to various Corporate and Plant inquiries
- Be a team player
- Be able to customize pace
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting/finance
- 0-2 years accounting experience
- Candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Specifically Word and Excel
- Oracle experience is a strong plus
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal business communication skill
