The General Accountant will be responsible for recording various financial transactions of the company while assisting in the day-to-day activities in the Accounting department such as financial analysis, month-end close, and reporting.
Duties and Responsibilities- Perform general accounting entries, analysis, and reporting.
- Prepare and maintain account reconciliations for various balance sheet and income statement accounts.
- Perform and review Sarbanes Oxley controls related to areas of responsibility.
- Flexible knowledge and willingness to support multiple Accounting areas (general ledger, intercompany, cash and banking, prepaids, inventory, fixed assets, accruals, etc.) with common business tasks.
- Exhibit US GAAP technical knowledge in performing accounting duties and ability to assist in researching complex accounting arrangements.
- Ability to understand and map end-to-end accounting cycles.
- Other projects and assignments may be assigned to accommodate the changing needs of the department and the Company.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (or related Business field) required.
- 2+ years of Accounting experience required.
- Experience preparing financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and management analyses required.
- Working knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley controls required.
- Advanced Microsoft skills including, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
- Advanced understanding of accounting processes and principles required.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills required.
- High level of personal ownership and flexibility expected.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) required.
- Positive attitude and excellent team player who can meet deadlines.
- High speed internet and connectivity capabilities to facilitate remote or hybrid schedule.
- SAP or BAAN experience is highly desired.
- IFRS knowledge is a plus.
