Policy Coordinator- Compliance

Overview

The Policy Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supporting the organization’s system-wide policy management program. This position serves as the primary administrator of the electronic policy management system and works collaboratively with policy owners and other stakeholders throughout the organization to promote consistent policy management practices, timely review and approval, and accessibility of current policies.

The Policy Coordinator will play a key role in the implementation of a new enterprise policy management system, including inventorying, organizing, and migrating policies from the current system. Following implementation, the position will provide ongoing administration of the policy management system and coordinate the policy lifecycle process across the organization.

The Policy Coordinator reports to the Compliance Department and works closely with policy owners, operational and clinical leaders, Information Technology, Quality, Legal, Human Resources, and other departments throughout the health system.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, health information management, compliance, organizational management, or a related field preferred. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirements.

Experience:

• Experience in healthcare administration, compliance, quality, document management, project coordination, or a related field preferred.
• Experience administering an electronic policy or document management system preferred.
• Experience with policy management software, including Policy Stat, preferred.
• Experience supporting system implementations, data/document migrations, or large-scale organizational projects preferred.
